As one of the many updates arriving for the Google Assistant today, Google has added the ability to create shortcuts to otherwise lengthy actions you may perform each day. For instance, if you like to wait Stranger Things on Netflix on your Chromecast, you can assign a shortcut to the Assistant – on mobile and the Google Home – and simply say, “Okay Google, Stranger Things.” This way, you don’t have to say a dozen words just to watch your programming. Smart.

Here’s some screenshots of the feature which is accessible via the Assistant’s settings menu in the Google app.

Most users of the Assistant should have the feature now, whether they’re on Android or iOS. Of course, you might have to wait another day or two if you don’t see it yet, so don’t fret if you can’t tell Google Stranger Things at this moment in time.
