Today brought the announcement of LG’s new Android Wear 2.0 smartwatches which were rumored for quite some time. The Watch Sport, the flagship of the two, will be making its way to AT&T, the Google Store, and Verizon, but alongside this model, it looks like Verizon will be offering their own watch to compete with called the Wear24. We only have one picture to show you, but here it is anyway.
As you can see, it appears the Wear24 is made of stainless steel, but there’s no telling what the band may consist of. That said, we do know that the screen is 1.39 inches across with a 480×480 resolution, there’s an NFC chip inside, LTE and WiFi are supported, and a heart rate sensor is present for workouts. An exact lineup of features and specs isn’t available as of yet, but stay tuned as more information should be provided soon.
$300 will be the cost of the Wear24 when it goes on sale next month with a new two-year contract. Both Verizon stores and the carrier’s online store will sell the accessory.
